Miami-born and Orlando-based, Slugg (Mateo Acosta) brings a fresh, gritty bounce to house music with deep roots in 90s hip-hop and boundless dancefloor energy. He cut his teeth in the local scene through the House Keepers collective and later launched his own imprint, Getbusy, where gritty club textures and soulful sampling are the order of the day. His “Takeover” EP on Blackflag Recordings and B3B sets, like the explosive Factory Town NYE drop showcase his knack for dragging people into a groove you can’t shake. Having earned support from Loco Dice, Fisher, Joseph Capriati, and others, Slugg is still rising fast and carving out his own path with bold sound and community-first spirit.
