He founded Torema Records in 1993 and launched the cult Sundance imprint in 2008, becoming a long-time Perlon affiliate with the acclaimed LP “Right Moment.” Revered for precision, vinyl-led sets that balance hypnotic tension with elastic groove, he’s a fixture at institutions like Sunwaves and Houghton and appeared at Dimensions 2023. Now based in Berlin, Tanaka continues to release high-definition minimal and microhouse tools and tour globally. A master of subtle dynamics, he remains a benchmark for deeper, trippier dance floors.
