Kalabrese is the Zurich-based DJ/producer Sacha Winkler, co-owner of the city’s institution Club Zukunft and founder of the Rumpelmusig label. His warm, off-kilter house—often dubbed “rumpel-house”—folds live instrumentation and songwriter sensibility into club-friendly grooves. Breakout LP “Independent Dancer” (2013) cemented his cult status, followed by the “Let Love Rumpel” albums and collaborations with KAYYAK and Lapcat. A versatile performer with his Rumpelorchester live band and as a DJ, he’s appeared for platforms like Beatport Live and Mutant Radio while touring across Europe. Recognized for bittersweet melodies, low-slung funk and elastic rhythms, he bridges leftfield charm with dancefloor pull.
