Axine M is the moniker of Maxine de las Pozas, a New York City based experimental electronic musician, vocalist, and DJ. She holds a master's degree in Music Technology from New York University Steinhardt, where she focused on the design of novel controllers and digital musical instruments for live performance. Her productions move between experimental techno, ambient, and electronica, often built around computer-extended fretless guitar and voice, with a churning, mechanized quality that draws on dystopian themes. Recent releases include the 2021 EP Sharp Life, the 2022 collection USUSUSESESERERER, and the 2025 experimental techno EP Bored Giant Engine Sputter on anno records, with additional work issued through the label Plum. As a DJ and live act she has broadcast on outlets such as The Lot Radio and Hong Kong Community Radio and performed at New York spaces including ISSUE Project Room. Blending trained vocal performance with self-built instruments, she stands among the more conceptually driven voices in New York's current experimental club scene.
