Born in Miami and currently based in New York City, Cuban American DJ and vinyl selector Caroline Cardenas operates under the moniker Carozilla. Her sound bridges a wide spectrum of analog formats, moving fluidly through synthesizer oddities, dark disco, Latin jazz, and classic house grooves. Cardenas built her foundation in the Florida scene as the manager of Technique Records and a resident at Dante's HiFi, where she co-curated the venue's Ladies Night series alongside Rich Medina. She is also a founding member of the Miami vinyl collective Waxy, advocating for greater visibility of women in the electronic music space. Recent years have seen her perform at major events like III Points Festival and make appearances on platforms such as The Lot Radio and Superior Elevation Radio. Through her deep crate digging and eclectic selections, Carozilla preserves the communal spirit of vinyl culture while introducing rare cuts to modern dance floors.
