Masahiro Ueda, known as DJ Healthy, is a Brooklyn-based DJ and curator originally from Yokohama, Japan. He began his career spinning trance and techno in Yokohama's club circuit before relocating to New York. His sound has evolved into a dynamic fusion of techno, breaks, and trance, often incorporating house, bass, and experimental elements, characterized by a focus on low-end frequencies and driving rhythms. Ueda is the founder of Will Records, launched in 2021, and the driving force behind the PACIFIC MODE event series, which bridges underground scenes in New York City and Tokyo. He has performed at prominent venues such as Bossa Nova Civic Club, Nowadays, and Public Records, and co-curates Sustain-Release Tokyo with Aurora Halal. His keen ear for curation and ability to seamlessly blend diverse styles make him a significant figure connecting distinct global dance music communities.
