Fronkaaay is a Swedish American DJ and producer based in New York City, where he has been part of the house scene for a decade. He describes his sound as deep minimal funky grooves, drawing on underground and analogue tones in the lineage of Traumer, Frankie Knuckles, Michael Bibi, ANOTR and Josh Baker. His debut, Take Your Monaaay with Sangarang, came out in 2024 on the New York label Midtown House, followed by Gimme Some Air on Like This Records in the UK, Space Adventure with Resco on La Zic in 2025, the Riders EP with Jon Duarte on Boogie Basement Records and IMP010 on Imperfect Records in 2026. He also runs the monthly Groove Social parties in New York. The result is house that stays low and funky rather than big and bright.
