Connecticut-based producer James Cook crafts unhurried, deeply considered electronic music that bridges introspective IDM and emotive deep house. He debuted in 2013 with his full-length album Sleep Deep, Mountain King on the British imprint Greta Cottage Workshop. Two years later, Cook adopted the Black Point moniker to release EP 1 via the revered Cologne label Out to Lunch. Following a decade-long hiatus, he returned in 2025 with EP 2 on Tokyo-based FORM@ RECORDS, a four-track project blending ambient reflections with hypnotic, Detroit-inspired four-on-the-floor grooves.
