Joseph Ray is a British producer and DJ, one third of the Grammy winning electronic trio Nero, whose solo work explores the deeper end of dance music for the Anjunadeep label. Based in London, he has moved from Nero's bass heavy drum and bass, dubstep and electro house toward warm, melodic and progressive house, with organic textures and occasional jungle and drum and bass excursions. His Anjunadeep solo catalog includes the deep house leaning Blue Nights and Cos Of You in 2023, the jungle inspired A Power Over Me EP in 2023, and Need Your Loving in 2025, alongside a collaboration with Haitian collective Lakou Mizik. He hosts editions of the long running Anjunadeep Edition radio show and podcast and tours internationally, from sunset sets in California to New Year bookings in New York City. His sets lean cinematic and emotive, drawing on classical and film influenced ideas while staying rooted in the dancefloor. He remains a distinctive voice on Anjunadeep, bridging his group's rave heritage with the label's melodic, atmospheric house.
