Julion De'Angelo is a Detroit based multi instrumentalist, producer, and DJ originally from North Carolina. His sound is rooted in the Black American experience, blending free jazz, funk, and avant garde sensibilities with deep house and dub techno. He gained early recognition with his 2017 debut split EP Roots That Talk on Sound Signature, followed by solo work on labels like Tone Log and his own imprint Maybee Hill Music. His production style is characterized by a focus on percussive, rhythmically complex arrangements and atmospheric textures. De'Angelo stands out for his ability to bridge experimental, genre defying compositions with the functional demands of the dance floor.
