Justin Carter is a New York City based DJ, musician, and cofounder of the Nowadays venue and the Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday party series. Emerging from the Brooklyn DIY scene in the early 2000s, he established himself as a resident at institutions like APT and Nublu before launching his own label and event collective. His DJ sets are recognized for their genre agnostic approach, seamlessly blending classic house, disco, and leftfield selections to foster community and dancefloor catharsis. Beyond the club, he curates Planetarium, a deep listening series focused on immersive, high fidelity audio experiences. His solo musical output, including the 2017 album The Leaves Fall, explores a hybrid sound that bridges folk, ambient, and electronic textures.
