Kasbo is the project of Carl Garsbo, an electronic producer and DJ from Gothenburg, Sweden, active since 2013 with early releases on Monstercat and bitbird before joining ODESZA's Foreign Family Collective and Counter Records. His debut album Places We Don't Know (2018) was followed by The Making of a Paracosm (2020) and The Learning of Urgency (2024), all through Foreign Family Collective, alongside the remixes of Vance Joy, Fetty Wap and Big Gigantic that first built his audience. He has played Red Rocks Amphitheatre in support of ODESZA and Big Gigantic and tours a live show of his own, while his DJ sets, such as the three-hour Labyrinth sunset sets, lean into melodic house and slower, emotive builds. He records at Svenska Grammofonstudion in Gothenburg, the studio associated with Max Martin. His sound sits between indie electronica and melodic dance music, with lush chords, pitched vocals and a cinematic sense of pacing. He matters now as one of the artists carrying the Foreign Family sound into longer, club-facing sets.
