Miss Alicia, the DJ name of Alicia Coleman, is a New York City selector and a resident of Sweet Kicks, a Brooklyn renegade DIY party known for its bright pink Karlala soundsystem. A self-described captain of the wholesome party, she spins house, funk and global tunes with the aim of spreading joy on the dancefloor. What began as a pandemic hobby grew into throwing DIY parties with local creatives, and she now plays across the city at spots like Good Room and Nowadays. Her sets are warm, upbeat and community minded.
