RHR is the alias of Roniere Santos, a Sao Paulo producer and DJ who reshapes baile funk into a percussive strain of global club music. Across his career he has fused Brazilian funk rhythms with techno, electro and bass into a vigorous, rapid-fire mixing style built on slippery grooves and gritty low end. He has released through Dekmantel, Omnidisc, Live From Earth and Nice & Deadly, and his studio work with Skrillex on tracks such as SYRINX carried his sound onto festival stages. A back-to-back set with Skrillex at Dekmantel spotlighted Sao Paulo club music for an international crowd. He now holds a residency at Nowadays in New York, where his sets pair raw baile energy with the deconstructed edge of contemporary bass.
