Aleppo-born and New York-raised, Saphe Shamoun is a Syrian DJ, curator, and co-founder of Laylit, the SWANA-focused party and platform. His sets feature thread percussive bass, breakbeat, jungle, and breaky techno, combined with contemporary Arabic electronic sounds. A 2023 Boiler Room debut at Laylit in NYC broadened his international profile, with frequent appearances at Elsewhere and club nights across the U.S. and Europe. Beyond the booth, he is active as a cultural organizer and researcher, spotlighting MENA diasporic voices through Laylit mixes and events.
