Shyboi is a Jamaican born, New York based multidisciplinary artist, DJ, and producer who utilizes sound to interrogate themes of identity, power, and cultural history. Positioned between Caribbean and American influences, their work seeks harmony through sonic disruption, often blending club rhythms with experimental textures. They are a prominent figure in the New York underground scene and a member of the queer artist collective KUNQ. Notable releases include the Rave Down Babylon EP, issued in 2020 via Allergy Season, and contributions to the Physically Sick compilation series. Beyond solo work, they perform as one half of the project FALSEBOI alongside False Witness and maintain a residency at the New York venue Nowadays.
