Stewey Decimal is the DJ alias of New York based selector and filmmaker Alex Mallis, a fixture of Brooklyn's house and disco circuit. He is one third of Pleasure Jams, the party and DJ collective he runs alongside Allie Bell and Marosy, known for warm, feel good sets across the city. His selections lean mostly on house and disco while drawing on a foundation in hip hop, funk, and soul. Stewey Decimal has played rooms including Jupiter Disco, Good Room, and The Locker Room, and recorded a guest show for Berlin's Refuge Worldwide. He works best as a groove minded selector who keeps a floor moving without reaching for spectacle.
