Talker is a Chicago electronic duo formed in 2013 by Jonathan Krohn and Karl Meier, forged over a shared love of post-punk and machine music. Their early work landed on Karl O'Connor's esteemed Downwards imprint, including the debut LP Hari, and they run the Standards & Practices label as a home for their own gritty, dancefloor-aimed productions. Their sound moves between brutal techno, ambient, and noise, elegant and abrasive in equal measure. They remain a distinctive voice in the Chicago underground.
