About

Japandi escape with house beats, top-tier sound, and mezcal cocktails.

Outer Heaven is a high-end cocktail lounge and microclub on Chrystie Street, blending Japandi minimalism with otaku-inspired flourishes like arcade cabinets and rare anime art. Designed by Jack Mulqueen with sound engineered by Phonic Technologies (of Cielo and Output fame), the venue boasts what many consider the best sound system per square foot in NYC, topped by a programmable LED “Monolith” skylight. With a european house-forward music curation, ranging from vinyl sets to weekend house and techno DJs, the club is open four nights a week. Its cocktail program, built on mezcal, sake, and orange wine, offers a range of creative drinks, from zero-proof to bold and boozy, crafted by mixologist Alex Smith.
